iPhone 5C pre orders went live last night and it seems likely that there is a sheen of sweat popping up on the brow of Tim Cook. While Apple is used to seeing its new products approach sell out status at a very fast rate, the low budget version of the company’s flagship phone isn’t flying off the shelves.

BGR is reporting that despite the midnight start to pre orders, a sellout still isn’t in sight. That’s good news for people who wanted a little more time to decide whether or not they actually want to shell out the money for a new phone. That is bad news for a company that already saw some pretty significant hits on the stock market.

Excitement over the new models was very much muted, probably because there just aren’t a ton of new features with the iPhone 5C and 5S. People who already own an Apple handset might not be as excited about upgrading, especially when they know another phone is likely coming down the pike next year.

The computing giant is wanting to drive up demand for the new phones with a trade in program that retailers like Walmart and Amazon are jumping on as well. It appears that demand hasn’t materialized just yet. Part of the problem is almost certainly that the phone just isn’t cheap enough.

After spending the summer hearing rumors of an uber cheap new handset, Apple fanboys were a little less than overwhelmed with a phone that offers little more than what they have and carries just a slightly smaller price tag. While Apple is not seeing any sellouts just yet, it does appear that Sprint is starting to see demand pick up just a little bit this morning.

If sales of this cheaper model really are as unimpressive as they are looking out of the gate, worries over sales for the iPhone 5S are only go to increase as that launch dates nears.

Several features the new iPhone must have

Several features the new iPhone must have

The Apple iPhone 6 release date is expected in the coming months and the hype surrounding the new iPhone has reached new heights. However, as detailed below, there are several improvements that must be introduced on the upcoming Apple iPhone 6.

As Gordon Kelly from Trusted Reviews pointed out on April 8, we know that the need for the iPhone 6 to have a significant increase of the screen size is a must for Apple in order to meet the needs of today’s consumers. Furthermore, we believe that this alone will not be enough to convince the public and the new iPhone 6 should be a revolution in technology, so we wanted to unveil a number of features and improvements that should be featured on the next generation of iPhone.

The iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5s share a 4 inch screen with a resolution of 1136 640 pixels, which was the average of a smartphone size in 2012, but the increase in smartphone screen size has grown significantly in the past two years, and the current average size is about 5 inches and with a much higher resolution.

This demonstrates once again the consumer preferences for a larger smartphone, so an iPhone 6 launch with a larger screen would be a must for Apple. A report from BGR via Yahoo! News says that Apple’s new iPhone 6 is expected to feature an entirely new design with a 4.7 inch display, but this has not been confirmed.

According to a document shared by Jay Yarow, there are seven aspects of the iPhone 5 (full range, including 5s and 5c) that customers would want to change with the arrival of the new iPhone and it is these that we present below:

Many rumors surrounding the iPhone battery 6 have arisen, but it is logical that if it finally has a larger screen, the battery must have a higher capacity.

Improve the Apple Maps application

With the arrival of the iPhone 5, Apple put an end to the native Google Maps application on its operating system and decided to launch its own map application. This received some improvements with the arrival of iOS 7, but it wasn’t enough to convince users. Therefore, it is expected that the new iOS 8 comes with significant improvements in the Apple Maps application and will provide improved data and a more compelling user experience.

What at first appeared to be a treat for many, has now become a necessity. As we have seen before, consumers increasingly demand a smartphone with a larger screen, so Apple can not fail in this aspect. According to rumors, it seems clear that Apple will opt for a larger screen with the iPhone 6, which may be around 5 inches, and could even release two different versions: one 4.7 inch and one 5.5 inches.

With the arrival of the iPhone 5, Apple introduced the lightning cable and after almost two years it seems that users are not entirely satisfied with it. The reversible design is something that appeals to most users, however, it seems they break easily .

iPhone 6 customization options

The design of the iPhone and the current iOS software 7 does not offer many customization options to users, unless you have installed the jailbreak on your device.

Apple confirmed the purchase of a speech recognition company that brings new technology and new professionals to Apple. With this acquisition, Apple is expected to include significant improvements to the intelligent voice assistant Siri. Novauris, the company in question, has a voice recognition technology that goes beyond understanding a single word. Reportedly, it “identifies complete phrases from start to finish” rather than recognizing words in sequence.

The new iPhone 5s is substantially more scratch resistant than the previous iPhone 5 thanks to its aluminum frame. But Apple got a patent related to the creation of an impermeable, waterproof screen. It is uncertain if this technology will be on the iPhone 6, but it seems clear that Apple needs to improve the strength and durability of the next iPhone.
